HISTORY

Vac-Mop was first established in Alice Springs as an owner-operator business in 1984. The business has changed hands only once - and that was in 1993. The Cobern family took ownership and during the past 20 years has grown the business from a single person venture to the thriving company that operates today. Vac-Mop now has 15 part-time employees and four full-time staff, with a service area of 600km radius from our Alice Springs head office.

Currently, we have three modern truck-mounted hot water extraction machines for our carpet and tile cleaning uses. We also operate an older machine for very remote bush work, which requires 4x4 off-road access. For maintenance cleaning, Vac-Mop uses the latest in encapsulation technology for remote regions, where a steam clean is not an option due to water restrictions. Vac-Mop has a large industrial workshop that allows us to receive rugs and furniture from remote areas then clean and store them until pickup.
